about

Tiburón is a song about last night as remembered the morning after. The protagonist wakes up to a pounding headache, waves of nausea, and a scatteration of his friends sprawled all over the living room. He steps out into the backyard, into the bright morning sun, and it all comes rushing back to him: the house party to end them all. Telling the story in both French and Spanish, he takes the listener back to an evening of unrestricted gratification – food, wine, music, and beautiful company.

If Tiburón is evocative of the lively streets of Montréal, that’s because it was born there. Its gypsy jazz tone and the Quebecois French accent are an homage to the city of Montréal where band member Cristian Moya recently spent two years honing both his musical and French language chops. The single comes as a follow-up to Andino Suns’ latest album, Madera, released in September of 2016.
